Cinnamon Rolls from scratch are indeed memorable especially with caramel sauce or frosting. Homemade

Sweet Dough Cinnamon Rolls Homade from Scratch!
in
sauce pan:
scold- 1/2 c milk
stir in 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening
Cool to
lukewarm
Measure into large bowl:
1/2 cup warm water
3 pkgs quick
rising yeast
stir until dissolved then add ingredients from saucepan (lukewarm)
add:
2
eggs beaten
3 c sifted flour
Beat until smooth then add:
2 c flour
and stir in until smooth. Place in greased bowl and cover. Let rise in warm place for 1 hour.
Punch down dough
and roll out dough into square. Melt butter or marg. and brush on dough.
Make mixture of cinnamon and sugar (with nuts
or raisins if desired) and spread on dough. Roll up and cut. Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise 1 hour. Place in 350
* pre- heated oven for about 35 minutes. Frost and eat!

Frosting:
2 c powdered sugar
2 oz. soft butter
pinch salt
1/4 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
mix together with electric mixer, sugar salt butter vanilla, then slowly add milk and whip until
desired thickness is acheived.
Cinnamon Caramel Sauce:
4 oz. butter
2 c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1-2 c heavy cream
Place butter and sugar in sauce pan and heat on medium heat stirring
constantly with whisk until mixture starts to boil. Add cinnamon and slowly add cream while whisking until desired consistancy
is reached. Remove from heat and spoon over Cinnamon rolls or desserts.
