Quick easy Chicken Pot Pir Recipe is made from fresh boiled chicken, vegetables, gravy, and pie crust. Chicken Pot Pie is a wonderfull recipe for fall or winter.

Chicken Pot Pie

2 pkg pie crust, 2 crusts, 9"
1 whole chicken (fryer)
4 carrots, peeled, sliced
4 potatoes, peeled, large cut
1 onion diced
2 ribs celery, diced
1 tbsp chicken base
1 tsp rubbed
sage
1/2 tsp white pepper
4 cups water
1/2 c
 roux



Place chicken, spices, and vegetables in large kettle. Top off with water and boil for about 30 minutes. Remove chicken and let cool to remove meat from bones. Place chicken meat back in kettle. Drain off 3 cups water and place in sauce pan with chicken base for gravy. Discard rest of water. Bring to boil, add roux slowly until desired thickness.

Press pie shell into oblong glass baking dish, overlap crust slightly over edge. Slowly add gravy to vegetables and chicken and stir in kettle. Put mixture in baking dish and cover with crust. Bake 350* for 40-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve with favorite
sides.
